ลักษณะทั่วไป
ตัวผู้และตัวเมียเหมือนกัน เป็นนกที่ไม่ค่อยใหญ่นัก แต่มีหางยาวมาก และเป็นนกที่สวยงาม มองเผินๆเห็นเป็นสีฟ้าปากมีสีแดง หน้าอก หัว และคอมีสีดำ แต่หลังคอและตรงท้ายทอยมีขนสีขาวด้านบนของตัวและปีกมีสีฟ้าแกมม่วง ขนปลายปีกมีแถบขาวตรงปลาย ขนคลุมโคนหางมีสีม่วง และแถบดำตรงปลายขนหางคู่บนยาวกว่าคู่อื่นๆ แลดูหางมีสีฟ้าแกมม่วง และปลายสุดมีสีขาว

Generalization
Male and female alike. Not a big bird. But the tail. And a beautiful bird. Look superficially seen as blue with a red mouth, chest, head and neck are black, but straight back, neck and neck with white feathers and wings on top of a blue purple blend. Wingtip feathers and white stripe edges. Cover hair with a purple tail. And black bar pairs on the end of the tail feathers are longer than other pairs. Tail look blue purple blend. And a white tip.

Habitats.
Hainan, China, Himalayas, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. In Thailand, are common in all regions.
